In a recent interview, Outlander actress Caitriona Balfe opened up about the changes in the show's intimate scenes ever since the hiring of an intimacy co-ordinator. As many fans would know, the Starz period drama is famous for its steamy moments between Balfe's character, Claire, and Jamie Fraser, played by Sam Heughan. These passionate scenes have always been a highlight for viewers.

Despite their experience and professionalism, the creators of the show decided to bring in intimacy co-ordinator Vanessa Coffey, a decision that initially left Balfe somewhat skeptical.

However, Balfe now admits that Coffey's presence has proven to be incredibly beneficial. Just like with fight coordination, having an intimacy co-ordinator on set helps everyone involved to understand and be on the same page.

Coffey, who was once a corporate lawyer but now works as both an actress and movement director, has worked on numerous popular shows in the past. With Outlander's seventh season already airing and eight more episodes left to be released, fans can rest assured that their favorite characters will continue to smolder on-screen.
