Following the conclusion of the 2024 Six Nations, we evaluated all the players who participated in the Championship, starting with Wooden Spoon recipients, Warren Gatland's Wales. Wales finished at the bottom of the Six Nations table for the first time in 21 years, failing to secure a single victory throughout the tournament. We assessed each player on the team, giving them a rating out of 10.
In the backline:
- Cameron Winnett showed great potential and excelled under high balls, earning a 7.
- Josh Adams had a quiet tournament and scored a 5.
- Rio Dyer was a threat with the ball but struggled with tackling, receiving a 6.
- Mason Grady provided go-forward ball but made errors, scoring a 5.
In the centers:
- Nick Tompkins was solid but not spectacular, earning a 5.
- George North put in a strong performance earlier in the tournament and scored a 6.
- Owen Watkin showed promise against France but faded against Scotland, receiving a 5.
- Joe Roberts made an impact against France but had defensive errors due to inexperience, earning a 6.
At fly-half:
- Sam Costelow showed flashes of potential but struggled to steer games consistently, scoring a 6.
- Ioan Lloyd didn't have much playing time, receiving a 4.
The scrum-halves:
- Tomos Williams had an excellent tournament, earning an 8.
- Kieran Hardy was a reliable backup but didn't make a big impression, scoring a 5.
- Gareth Davies had a disappointing performance against Scotland and France, receiving a 3.
