The Springbok full-back was named player of the match after contributing to a dominant performance by the Stormers, who scored seven tries to Edinburgh's three. Willemse, despite not scoring himself, provided crucial assists for his teammates, with Suleiman Hartzenberg scoring three tries. Leolin Zas and Evan Roos also crossed the whitewash twice each. Manie Libbok and Jurie Matthee added the conversions as the Stormers secured a bonus point.
