All Blacks pair TJ Perenara and Jordie Barrett starred for the Hurricanes as they maintained their impressive start to the Super Rugby Pacific season with a comfortable 54-28 bonus-point win over the Melbourne Rebels. Perenara and Barrett, back from injury and suspension respectively, were in top form for the table-topping Hurricanes, scoring tries along with Salesi Rayasi (2), Brad Shields, Harry Godfrey, and Du'Plessis Kirifi. Despite tries from Rebels' Angelo Smith, Lukas Ripley, Mason Gordon, and Jordan Uelese, the Hurricanes secured their fifth consecutive victory and cemented their position at the top of the standings.
