He also witnessed Ardie Savea’s Kobe Steelers fall to Saitama Wild Knights. Savea, Sam Cane, and Beauden Barrett are expected to return to New Zealand for the mid-year Tests, while Mo'unga is currently ineligible due to his new contract in Asia.

Robertson expressed satisfaction with the physical condition of the players and noted the positive influence of New Zealand expertise in Japan rugby.
