Sir John Kirwan has lauded a pair of back-row forwards he believes will contend for the All Blacks this year. Hurricanes duo Brayden Iose and Peter Lakai have been instrumental in the team’s outstanding start to the season, sitting at the top of the Super Rugby Pacific table. Iose has seamlessly transitioned into the number eight position vacated by Ardie Savea, while Lakai has been impressive at openside flanker. Kirwan believes they should be considered for the All Blacks squad in July. Mils Muliaina also commended the Hurricanes' depth under new coach Clark Laidlaw.
