Former Springboks fly-half Elton Jantjies has joined the youth rugby programme Rugga Schools in Johannesburg as a coach during his four-year suspension for banned substances. The 2019 Rugby World Cup winner tested positive for Clenbuterol last year, resulting in the ban that effectively ends his professional career. Despite past scandals involving damaging an airplane and an alleged affair, Jantjies sees coaching as a way to give back to the game. With his vast experience from international rugby and Super Rugby, he aims to mentor the next generation of players at Rugga Schools.
