The NYPD Celebrates
The hit television series "Blue Bloods" is known as much for its off-screen camaraderie as it is for its compelling on-screen storytelling. This was in full view during the recent celebration of Tom Selleck's, A.K.A Commissioner Reagan's, 79th birthday, lending credence to the show's renowned familial spirit.
A Cake for the Commissioner
Several of Selleck's co-stars expressed their heartfelt tribute to the actor on social media as he marked the milestone. Central to the celebration was an epic birthday cake, themed with NYPD insignias.
This blue-iced cake, topped with a police hat and badge, was a playful nod to Selleck's character while paying homage to the shows much-loved crime drama theme.
Tributes from On-Screen Family
Abigail Hawk, who brilliantly captures the character of Detective Abigail Baker, shared a glimpse of the celebration via Instagram, describing their TV boss as "the luckiest". She was joined by Robert Clohessy, who appears as Lieutenant Sidney Gormley, and Gregory Jbara, seen as Garrett Moore. The trio stood proudly around Selleck before his cake-cutting moment, an image that resonated with fans across the globe.
